Okay, so it doesn't have the same ring as a midnight train to Georgia, but I'll take what I can get, really.

I think it's the welded rail train, which ought to be interesting, seeing as how it's my first time on it. Great hoghead, so I'm actually looking forward to the trip. I also have brownies with cappucino icing, so I really am happy.

...Incidentally, I really want to write siblingverse Hanafic. Any prompts/ideas, [livejournal.com profile] fangses? Granted, I won't see them till I get back, but hey.

Did you have to switch it out at Keith? The powers-that-be forgot about putting a threader car in the consist, so at the end of the day yesterday we had to drag one out to Keith that appeared from somewhere, along with a caboose. Left it all in a big pile for ya in KT09.

I'm not used to this....daylight business.

...Oh, you're the bugger that did that. Thank you, oh so much. I had to switch out half the west end of that work train.

On the other hand, I've got a work train for four days, eee! Friday I'm booking rest, and I'll probably use EDOs for Saturday and Sunday. This has the potential to be a very good week.

Hey now! If not for us you would have had to switch out little N yard first and THEN gone out to Keith and put everything together!

So explain to me how this work train business goes down...

You were on the switcher! Therefore, you are supposed to switch both in the yard *and* out at Keith. ...Though I do appreciate that you did the work in little N yard for us. I hate switching there. The hump always gets in the way.

From what I'm gathering, it's a four day job, making about 225 miles per day. All we did today was pick up the old rail beside the main line. You know, the stuff they've got laying on the ground that was switched out for new rail a few years back?

There's talk that we might range as far afield as Canmore, but who knows. It's a good gig so far, as long as the hoghead and I bring enough food.

Hmmm...

Redcliffe? We haven't talked about it much, siblingverse, but it'd be an interesting point for them. After dealing with the Brecilian Forest, but still fairly early on with everyone else. Plus, discovering who Alistair's father was! Probably getting ambushed by a suicidal Crow! All sorts of fun!

Alternatively, Hana's thoughts on the Bad Company her brother appears to be falling into - befriending Morrigan, getting hit on by Zevran, etc.

Also you are listening to Beirut! I feel vaguely victorious!

...And that was completely the wrong icon to use for that comment.

Ooh, I do like the idea of Redcliffe. Moar indoor fighting, just what Telaan and Hana love. Plus, bonus royal bastard!Alistair, with Hana being rather bemused and wondering why, exactly, she's supposed to care who Alistair's dead daddy is. Obviously, that opinion is going to change, but it's kind of a fun start.

...Hana just sits there, wondering how, exactly, her brother is getting along with this amazingly bitchy human woman.

It's an awesome song!

Sort-of-archer!Telaan does not enjoy this indoors business. On the other hand, it's really hard to miss with magic down there. On the other other hand, friendly fire. Good times?

Plus, sort-of-archer!Telaan has enchanted arrows, so that's just another lovely version of friendly fire.

Good times indeed!
