tehluggageDammit. I hate being pessimistic, and I really hate to sound like I'm whining, but... I'm pretty sure my cat is dead. He's been gone for over a week now, and the last time I saw him, he was pretty beaten up. Granted, he's been gone this long before, but I just have a bad feeling this time. Sure, he might be staying with his other family, (the one we're pretty sure he keeps on the side), but somehow I don't think so. Argh.
EDIT: Never mind, he's back! It's not often I feel so good about being wrong. And he's healthy, and happy to see us, and...I'm glad he's okay.
In other news, and so I actually have a point to this post...
Sasuke is a prick, and I hope Orochimaru kicked his ass. And I reread some of the earlier stuff, and now I have this bizarre theory that Itachi killed the Uchihas so Sasuke would grow up all twisty and vengeance-y, find his way to Orochimaru eventually, and either take him out or be taken out. That way, Itachi gets a nasty enemy taken out with little to no cost to himself, because according to that last chapter, he was able to take on Orochimaru with very little trouble. And it's been established that Orochimaru, at least, considers Sasuke to be stronger than Itachi.
And in the event that Orochimaru won, well, there's not only the rest of Akatsuki as backup, Naruto would be more than happy to kill ol' Snake Eyes. So Itachi really does win, either way.
...Now, I don't know how seriously I actually take all that, but it was fun to think about.
