Dammit. I hate being pessimistic, and I really hate to sound like I'm whining, but... I'm pretty sure my cat is dead. He's been gone for over a week now, and the last time I saw him, he was pretty beaten up. Granted, he's been gone this long before, but I just have a bad feeling this time. Sure, he might be staying with his other family, (the one we're pretty sure he keeps on the side), but somehow I don't think so. Argh.

EDIT: Never mind, he's back! It's not often I feel so good about being wrong. And he's healthy, and happy to see us, and...I'm glad he's okay.
